Next Steps

City staff, along with representatives from SeeBozemanCreek and PORT (the consultant working on this project), hosted a successful event as part of this year’s SLAM festival. A 3-D model of the proposed recommendations was the centerpiece of this interactive open house, providing an opportunity for attendees to place themselves on the map to help visualize what’s possible. While flood mitigation continues to be a primary driver of the project, it’s exciting to see the benefits to public space that come with any improvements along the creek corridor. Hundreds of comments were received, which will be incorporated into a draft Vision Plan, available this fall. Our next public event will occur in early November, so stay tuned for additional opportunities for input along the way.
