2026 Construction Postponed

Thanks to all for your engagement and patience with updates on the next steps for the College St Renovation from 8th to 11th.

While the city remains fully committed to bringing these improvements to College Street, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone bidding and construction of the project this summer.

Final construction plans for the project are now complete and can be viewed in the Documents section. However, the city is still coordinating final construction easements and access with business owners to ensure we ease the impact of construction as much as possible. Attempting to complete the project with school in session and more foot traffic through our College Street businesses would inevitably induce greater construction impacts and risk overall project completion before the end of this construction season.

Moving forward, the city will decide over the winter if we can schedule construction next summer in a manner that can be effectively coordinated with the Kagy Boulevard construction closure. Updates will be provided to the community as more information is known.
